Create an Advanced Search

There are two search modes offered in the Advanced Search page. The first mode allows you to write query terms in four text boxes without having to use any operators (Boolean operators, quotation marks). The other search mode lets you use the query syntax (Boolean operators and others) and the system fields (common and custom).

This page explains how to make an advanced search without using the query syntax and introduces the contents of the Advanced Search page.

To create an advanced search without the query syntax

  1. Enter the terms in the appropriate text boxes and make sure to insert a space between every word. Do not use operators or system fields.
  2. Select the predefined search fields and indicate the values in the appropriate text boxes or choose them from the lists.
  3. Click Search.

Here is an overview of the available categories and their respective options.
